Jay learned to weave in 1970 at The Penland School of Crafts and leapt into a 25 year career of creativity. In 1996 she became a librarian at the cook Memorial Library in Tamworth, where she teaches art classes in various media to all ages. She continues to make exuberant art in her free time.
